got the bearing (stainless steel) and seals.. fit into the yami housing like a dream!

started cutting for the kawi pump but come up against a problem.. looks like the zxi shaft i git from a guy on ebay was actually a sxi shaft... so come to a grinding halt... pretty much cant do anything without it

pics of the mid shaft mod to come

so slight stumbling block on the shaft... hopefully one on its way is the right one :fingersx:

so we stripped out the old seals and bearings...

.. replaced with stainless steel bearing and seals sized for the Yami mid shaft housing and Kawi shaft

this seems a much simpler way to go IMO

I love it....going with bearings/seals that fit both Yami housing and Kawi shaft was the first option I had investigated, I just couldn't find the right parts. Please post the part# info for these and put me out of the machining biz....Please!! :Banane09:

can see the part nos on this pic.... i only used two seals .. the stock yami set up is three.. i may add the third

it is possible to get a normal steel bearing... which is cheaper.. i though the stainless would be a better option

i think the bearing was like $25, and the seals around $8 each
