Coffman install Question????Help

I am putting a Coffman Sizzler on my stock 190 650 Superjet.I hooked the water up to the factory hoses on the back of the ski just like the stock pipe did,but I have another larger hole up front in the exuast that looks like it should go to the little stock hose in the front of the head but its a different size and also I have another hole on the end of the pipe where does that go?I cna email you some pics from jlawre@frontiernet.net if you want to see what it is I am talking about.HELP????

Sounds like you have the first line correct, plug the 1/8" line off the head, run the other (3/8") line to the lowest fitting on the head pipe, then run a line from the highest fitting on the headpipe to the stinger with a tee fitting overboard, as for the other fitting on the headpipe run it overboard or plug it. Don't cut holes in the gasket between the manifold and headpipe, water is not supposed to flow through those passages.

Diagram???

Is there anyone who can send in a diagram or something so I can see what it looks like?I understand plugging off the little line on the head of the motor. Then I have another 3/8 line coming out of the head on the motor. That is obviuosly going to go into the 3/8 fitting on top of the exaust manifold becuase it is just a short distance and it is aimed right for it and that is how the stock pipe was running it.Not there is another fitting on the bottom of the head pipe and I had one on the bottom of the stock pipe so I assumed that is where they hooked up.This leaves me with two more holes on the pipe one on the front of the manifold and one down by the stinger. What do I do with those two???You talked about heading over board where do I do that do I need another fitting and to drill a hole in the side of the ski or is there one going out of the hull now?I am going down to check this out again.

PICT2886.jpg Let me know what you guys think.I know the one on the bottom that you cant see it goes to the back of the ski water coming in and going to the exaust manifold. It looks like the one on the right goes to the top of the head on the motor and the one on the left just goes out and down to the stinger and out the ski. Then looks like I just cap off the little one on the right of the head.Let me know if I am close.LOL Thanks to all in advance

Still confused again sorry

This doesnt look like the way I was going to hook it up.When I took my stock pipe off it had one coming into the bottome of the main manifold coming from the back of the ski the pump.I hooked that one to the bottom of my Coffmans mainifold the first one right off the motor. Then on the top mainifold it has two out lets one on the right and one on the left.I am hooking it up from the head on the motor to the out let on the right of the manifold that say coffmans on it.Then to only two left are the out let on the left of the manifold and that is going to go down and hook to the stinger and go out the ski.Does that sound right????It looks different on yours.

Let's say you are looking at the head pipe where it says Coffman.

(1) Slightly below the "C" in Coffman - a hose connects to that outlet and goes around the headpipe to the head. You can clearly see that in Brett's picture above.

(2) On the other side of the headpipe - the side that does not say Coffman or anything else - there is a connector there. A hose goes from there to the stinger (waterbox end of the pipe). (In Brett's picture, he has a T, but mine goes directly to the stinger with no T.)

(3) At the very "front" of the headpipe (far to the left if you are facing the word Coffman), a hose goes from that outlet to a "pisser". ie, it goes overboard. In Brett's picture, you can see that he is emptying that hot water into the foot tray. Its the black hose.

Clear as mud?

I have the installation instructions here - I will scan and post them tomorrow at work. They are quite cryptic but maybe someone will find them useful.

j-wadd, I have a question for you... (or any other Coffman Sizzler owner)...

I sent my motor to Group K, and my Coffman manifold came back looking as shown in the picture. I think they added the plumbing on the bottom (blue hose and white T). I can't remember what it looked like before.

Can a Coffman Sizzler owner please tell me what the standard Coffman manifold looks like - I thought there used to be only one water intake on the bottom, but I could be wrong . . . ??

there is only one fitting on the mani and it goes into the aft cylinder...so they added a fitting-looks cool to me though, it makes that much easier if you switch to dual cooling

Send those instructions in if you dont mind.Where does the water come in then?I had a hose coming from under the foot tray.I hooked that to the single inlet in the bottom of the manifold.I figured that was the water coming in.I only have one in the bottom of the manifold yours looks nice but I think they added them.I then have an out let coming out of my head and going to the side that says exaust on it,/it going to come up and into the top part of the manifold and go out the side that says Coffmans and then down to the stinger.I need to get a pisser I think its a good idea to tee off and be able to see it coming out when your running.Let me know if I am right or still screwed up.

You beat me to it!

j-wadd, yes the water comes from under the foot tray and goes to the bottom of the exhaust manifold. After that its as shown in the picture on the last page of the instructions.
