granted i could go to another site and do a search... but i figure the info would be good to have here on our site.

what helmit do you use and why? i'm looking for a helmit that will cover my ears and give me the most amount of protection without limiting my vision. suggestions? of course the cheaper the better as long as the quality is still there! links are a plus too.

I am going to be getting a few of these in soon for Whitewater trips I do. Any of you freestyle guys interested? They are pricey, but man are they nice. A company called Gath makes them. If you want some let me know, I will add to the order, will save on shipping as they come from Australia. The visors are retractable, so if you don't want it.

BMX Bellistic full face downhill moutain bike helmet. By far the best deal and most comfortable helmet I've owned. Blowsion sells the same one with a badass color scheme on their site. I cannot stress the importance of a fullface helmet. My older helmet is cracked in multiple places on the chin guard. If it wasn't for that the cracks would be in my face.

What's an "helmit" Greg?

Giro Switchblade...

I tried the giro switchblade, caz thats the one I wear for mountainbiking, but I didnt have much fun with that one. It did hurt pretty much by subs.... But the quality and also price is pretty high.

Now I ve got a Protec. I put of the shield of course.... price was 65 $.
It s not a highend helmet but I like it and it s comfortable to wear.

if I had to buy another right away I'd give the full face bell helmet at try from wallmart. It's about $40. price is right.

Be carefull with the full face pro rider helmet. They are good helmets but I blew out my ear drum wearing one because the air vents are too close to your ears. If you get that helmet you have to block off the vents or you will a very very bad day.

I'm using the Bell Bellistic as well and love it. There's a few on eBay right now for cheap. The 2006 model has some pretty cool color options.
