Lets just say the previous owner was no Norm Abram (or ski mechanic equvalent Paul Lehr)

THIS SUCKS!!!!
For those of you who saw my ski for sale (the whole 3 hours) this is why. Just frustrating always something.
For some reason this thing ran fantastic last season. Near the end of the last season the front cylinder would not fire (sporadic occurrence). Guess I now know why. After I let it cool, it would work. Then start acting up. Then work the rest of the day no problems (mostly).

There is good news, the stator connections were not damaged.

Do you know who did the wiring? I am looking for someone to rewire my house and I am looking for someone who knows how to start a good fire.

Not sure he does house calls.

There are only a few on this board who know him, but I cannot say for sure he did this.
But confident he did.

Alot of people remove the fuse, including JSS. It only protects you from frying things if you hook the battery up wrong. Some see it as just another thing to possibly go bad and cause problems.
I do dumb stuff by accident all the time when working on mine, so I left mine in. :1244:

yeah i was thinking the same thing wab
i read some where that alot of people were removing the fuse
the only time i have blown one is when i was hung over and hooked the battery up wrong
even though i still leave the fuse in

Unfortunately, I see stuff like that all the time.
From the point you are at, it's best to start over. Start with bead blasting the alum case & paint it. next replace the harness, rectifier, solinoid, cable ends, & all connections that are questionable. USE A NEW RUBBER GASKET. Inspect the plastic case cover & replace if nessary. assmble with die-elect grease on all connections & a light film on rubber gasket.
You should be good to go.

Jss has good luck with their box, But I have my douts if it's used in salt water. all connections need to be inside the box, not out!

I think Idok has already been down that path. You'd have to check with him for details. :27:

I think the guy should send you all new (or nearly new) electrical components. What do you think, Scott?!?
