i'm in the process of bumpimg up from my 701 to the 62t 760. i was getting cavatition with the 701 using a Solos 13/17 cut back 3mm. I havent had a chance to drop it in the water and test how this prop act's with the new cylender, but i have a feeling that its going to be worst...

I'm looking for a skat, which pich/s should i try?

I have almost the same engine set-up as you, the only difference is that I have an fx1 with an sj pump....I went against what everyone told me and I am now running a skat 12/17 swirl......It's the fastest ski on my lake,,,beating out a blaster 760 ss, squarenose 760 ss, and round nose 701 ss.....it has kick a$$ acceleration and top-end too.....

ha well i cant add a few mm's to my nossle.. so i dont have my stock cone(anyone have a stock cone)... is there another cone i can try (longer or thicker)? i beleave my ww is one of the smallest stubb sizes..

anyways any advice with a skat?

I have an 85.7mm protec nozzle and a wet wolf cone, a 13/17 concord with 4mm cut back and have NO cavation problems. I did blueprint my pump pretty aggresively removed a tiny bit of material all over the place, then polished it up pretty slick. And my ski has 200 psi head, speedwerx freestyle pipe, msd enhanser...

And I have a cone off of a fx1 (the aluminum one with the bolt in the end of it) I am sure that they interchange (let me check first) but I would sell it for $20 shipped.

its deff not slippage... if i through it in a tailstand, it can rev the hell out of it and it wont (not even a little) catch the water and pull out. yes a froun exhost would help but i beleave its a pich prob..

speedfreak, are you on a 701? i have not finsihed building up 760 but hopefully i can drop it in the water today... maby it will make all the differance... ps: whast blueprinting?

hopefully i'll beable to ride today with cory and kurt, i'll get there input to dubble check its not normal slippage...

That is your exhaust doing that along with the fact, ski's are not ment to launch out of the water like a rocketship.......... Along with the exhaust acting upon the waterintake, when you romp on the gas, you are boring a hole in the water, the water cannot be forced out and sucked in at the same speed........... My ski does that along with every other ski out there............

I've never seen either started form a tail stand :cool2:

so what do you call it when the ski is point nose up and the rest of the ski is underwater, and they punch it....

what ever you wanna call it, if my ski it pointing up or at a slight angle from 90* it will not pull out..:banghead:
