Custom/Hybrid Rad Dudes Brotha-Bruce 08 Super Jet Fixed Steer

The way Yamaha should have made the SJ!!!!
Brotha-Bruce picked up a 08 SJ that had 4 or 5 tanks of gas through it. We rolled it right in the shop and started to cut it up!
Now we are big fixed steer guys so a hood from Tom21 was first on the list. Bruce also wanted the tray like how shawnNJ did his with full lenght foot holds. So here is the list of the build.

08 hull
Tom21 hood
UMI
wide tray (thin rails)
moved rear pipe down
factory pipe
ADA head
ATP water box (with a few changes to it)
reinforced the hull
JSS Coil

And a ton of small things no one will ever know.
Cleaned up wired
Welded 90 bilge fillting
dual tank breathers
and the list goes on

Doesnt it look like it came rigth from teh dealer?

Once she was done we hit the scales. And I was shocked. Keep in mind the fixed steer hood was 10 pounds less than a stock hood and pole.

Had a chance to ride this today!! Ski runs mint. Well balanced and clean. Good power for pipe water box and impeller
First time riding a yamaha motor.

Besides the water being fridged managed a half roll and rode it out. Crappy water conditions

Overall really nice ski good job Bruce. Thanks for letting me rip it

Mark had a set of foothold that i was looking at and measuring the backside of you wana give yourself enough room for turf and 3 layers of glass i believe i sanded the foam to around 3.5 inches it also depends on the type of shoes that you wear but yea cut the trey out make up some card board cut down flat then i took a 2.5 inch wire wheel on the end of a drill and blasted the foam all the way to the sides of the hull and sanded it to perfection then really get the foam drenched in resin let it sit for like half hour then get your pre cut glass soaked and go to town it took me about 7 full nights couple hours a night
