Super Jet Ignition timing?

What s the different in powerband and ignition timing if you put youre stator like in this pic?

Just bought this broken 650 engine with coffman pipe and im just wondering.

That looks almost 10 degrees advance and prior posts on here by engine builders say that would be too much advance with a stock cdi and you could deto in the higher rpms...you can get away with more advance with an msd enhancer...that small dot on each side of the stator plate center mark is 5 degrees and would be much safer...I would say you will feel a little bit more low end snap compared to stock...and use higher octane pump gas for advance timing also.

which way do you turn the plate for advance on a superjet

turning stator counter clock wise advances timing, there is a tiny dot about 3/16 from the center arrow on each side that is 5 degrees...do not advance a stock cdi, with an msd enhancer you can get away with 5 degrees advance because it retards timing faster in the higher rpm...
