P5150135.jpgP5150133.jpgP5150132.jpgThis is my buddys 1978 440 that was bone stock when he got it, and it ran like a turd. The motor was in great shape tho. We put a cheap pipe on it and a sbn 44 off a stock superjet no jetting change, a skat prop that we think is a 14.5 pitch, advanced the timing and fixed some electrical demons. I had to replace the entire grounding system because it had melted. This thing runs amazing and is faster then my 550 top speed.

Here's my toy, haven't done anything to the exterior, mods are in my signature, definetly a fun ski, and a lot more fun to ride than the 650 next to it, completely different feel handling wise, this is when I bought it. I got both skis the trailer and the stand for 1900 not bad I didn't think. Where in colorado you at?

Thank you I love it so far, it's not that the 650 is lacking in power or anything, just the way it handles it's not as agile and to me it's more of a challenge to ride. The trailer is pretty nice i dont particularly care for the little bitty tires and wheels that most of those types of trailers have to me I think it really overworks the wheel bearings but for the 2 mile commute to the lake it works for now. The ski really is pretty clean for it's age, it's definetly been ridden but it needs some freshening up, a little paint etc. and some small fiberglass work on the bottom of the hull you can see where someone has hit something and poked a hole in it their patch job has chipped off in a few spots.

Wife's 1987 JS550

If it looks retro, that's because I painted it 19 years ago.
