Hand guns

Same kinda deal for me. I used to live in the city. My neighbor was carjacked at gunpoint and pistol whipped. In hindsight, when a gun is already held at your head, all you can do is comply but it could have happened to me or my wife. My neighbors and I all shared a small 12 parking spot area behind our condos, left around the same time each morning. If my wife or I would have left 5 minutes earlier, it could have been one of us. It wasn't considered a rough area either for that part of the city so shortly after was my first purchase. I was like 21 at the time.

Where I live now "it's the law" for every homeowner to own a gun.

My previous job would also hire criminals (my boss believed in 2nd chances) but some of these dudes were like agg assaults with deadly weapon type folks that served serious time. I believe in 2nd chances myself but often these guys would start selling drugs out of the workplace so that doesn't help restore the faith. Let's just say I always had my guard up while at work.

My biz partner and I receive death threats regularly. Fun.

Aside from above, I actually enjoy skeet and trap shooting and trying to snipe stuff, but I'm not a hunter or anything.

I also support the 2nd amendment and believe an armed populous prevents tyrannical governments.

1995, Old lady across the street was unloading her groceries. Got mugged in the driveway. I worked midnights so my wife was home alone. Went and bought a Glock 19. About a year later I bought my wife a Berretta .380. I always carry in my truck. Her gun stays in the closet. I have started carrying at work some, we are not in the best part of town. A few times recently they called me to come up front and to go get my pistol due to vagrants hanging around. the businesses next door and across the street.

Reasons I am armed:
1) Liberals.
2) Lack of faith in current justice system.
3) To protect myself, family and friends at all costs.
1. There are plenty of Liberals who carry. You are stereotyping. That is BS.
2. Agree to a degree....... But if your dead, justice system not gonna do much good for you.
3. Nuff Said..........

I know I am stereotyping. I just dont like any of them, or any of their policies based on only emotion.

Edit: And really what I mean, is that I am armed because it is my right, and liberals seems very set on trying to disarm me and the rest of you.

I was talking a with a very liberal friend last weekend. he is a Teacher. He does not have a gun, nor has every really handled one. His wife has some form of cannon. He was blown away by the fact that some pistols do not have safety's (referring to Glocks or hammerless revolvers), even asked "is that against the law"........... He is all for teachers being armed provided they have been given proper training.............. Not all Liberals are Libtards. They just feel strongly about their views and nothing wrong with that.

I also work work a second chance boss which is fine by me. One kid on the payroll is an agg assault felon and while I have no problem with him, I have caught him doing some suspicious stuff. Kind of awkward scenario to deal with.

"Safety" falls upon the person controlling the weapon...

There is a local restaurant here that offers a discount if you show your CPL license. When I mentioned this to my brother when we were there yesterday, he was like, “What’s a CPL?” My response was, “Don’t worry about it, it got us cheaper food.”

My Shield has the safety too and I don't like it either. Even though it's in a good location, it's one of those things that doesn't come naturally. If you don't remove it, all you can do is practice getting that muscle memory down. Mine is just the standard Shield, I'd like to have a bad@ss Performance Center model like yours. But first I'm checking out the CZ line of pistols, @wanderer1 has been telling me about them for years, I'm finally listening! :)

Did you fellas see that you can buy high capacity mags in CA now? I thought it was an April fools joke, but apparently it's not.

Fixed it for ya. Quit aquesing and using the false narrative term, that's how it enters the vernacular of society. Like conflating the words legal and lawful, not the same thing.

Anyone use Defender ammo as well? Seems to be a decent price and quality ammo for target practice. Made by veterans just outside fort Bragg.
Ran thousands of rounds of Freedom munitions 124gr 9mm Luger without issue. Recently switched to LAX same load and all has been well. I will try a few thousand of the Defender you mention and let ya know. Carry is Gold Dot 124 +p.

I shot Jr.s Shield 9mm back to back with my Performance Center Shield. Night and day difference to me. The ported barrel really keeps the "Flip" to a minimum. I was shocked at how accurate it was.
