Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

Interesting. Yep my motor looks further forward than your setup. I'm not sure though how it could have been much closer in my hull though. My midshaft was already shorter than the stock length. If you have a chance, can you take a photo that shows the engine part and the tray so I can see what...

@barrie gunn good luck with everything. I think the prices were low so PJ could get the business going.

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

Thanks for the information @skinnyman . The donor seemed like it was a well love ski. The top end is great on the motor and I really like Dale's TL. The low end is annoying, idles rough despite lots of messing with the low speed settings. I've got the old hull for sale as well. Might refinish it...

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

This was my first AM hull. I felt that the quality was quite high. Interior, exterior finish was very good. Some particular points of information: the pump shoe mounting was great. No issues. My pump required on a little bit of shimming in the back. The midshaft housing was mounted perfectly...

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

Here are some photos of this past weekend. The past few weekends, when I was able to get out, I was mostly messing around with tuning the carbs. It is running much better now. Also tightening many screws again and applying loctite again (mostly steering related, it seems a jetski troll loosens...

That would be great. Where are you riding there? Probably can't make it for a couple weeks. Some pointers would definitely be appreciated.

Carbon Back Flip Hull $3900 (Brand New)

I have the one in Texas. Located on lake lbj near Austin. I haven't ridden another am hull so can't comment too much on the ride. I have a 701 bored to 754 with b pipe, stock waterbox (mounted slightly differently), 48mm Blackjacks , jazz tank, competition length xscream pole, dale total loss. I...

Yep found that out, only banged my shins though. Going to pad the footholds to give me a little more grip. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

I reduced the pole length today by 3 inches and it made a big difference. It's much easier now to get on and ride. I have to say this is a serious workout. Leaning far forward requires some muscles. I did one flop today. I need to practice some less intensive jumps to get used to hanging on...

Thanks. I got some replacements from Dale. Good to know though if others have the same issue. Dale does some custom mods to them with the wiring Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'll keep everyone updated on my progress. I won't get back out until July 3.

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

I attach a photo. The engine mounts bolt directly to the hull below. Though the holes don't look lined up, the entire mounting process was great with no shims required on either the engine or the midshaft.

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

It's possible. I have the adjustable competition length X-scream pole, but it is set to the longest setting. Next time I'm out, I'll try to shorten it a couple of inches and see what happens.

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

Ok I'm able to get up now and put my feet in the back holds. While riding I'm pushing forward on the bars so I can lean way forward. Is this the key idea? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Any tips on learning to ride with my feet back? It feels like I'm leaning forward and pushing down on the handpole instead of hanging on.

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

First ride report. I went out for about 20 minutes to get used to the ski. I haven't ridden this kind of hull before so it is a learning experience. My reference point is a modified superjet. Overall feeling is totally different. Very light and maneuverable. When I accelerate it jumps out of...

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

Finally got back from travel and wrapped everything up. I ordered new custom coils and a starter relay from Dales Jet Sports to match his custom total loss. Hooked up all the hoses and electrical. The engine and components I transferred from the doner ski were quite dirty. I cleaned them up as...

    Freestyle Help identifying ignition coils

For anyone that comes across this link, I wanted to provide the answer. These coils are made special order by Dale's Jet Sports . They are used as part of his custom total loss system. For reference, his system is very simple and does not have advanced programming capability. It is used to...

Build of X1-C hull from Performance Jet Worx

I made some progress over the past week. The main accomplishment was to install the mounts and get the waterbox fitted in correctly. Because I had difficulty finding the Xscream waterbox in stock (at least when I was looking) and didn't want a much louder and smaller waterbox, I tried to make...
