Steve from Trendsetters is en-route with two Backie Chan's with the intention of making FW Friday.
And if he doesn't I'll have a lot of 'esplain'n to do to my wife.
Yup..... It's all good. Not even worried. I pretty much have all day to ride so as long as nobody destroys a backie chan before I ride it, I'm golden. Maybe I'll bring my camera and shoot some pics while I'm there.
I don't know either, but 'make it work' wasn't what I was expecting, your comment was what I was expecting. It's all good, ill be there Friday with my gear, ready to ride.
Thanks for the help everyone.
Thanks yamanube! Yeah seems like its gonna be a flustercluck, but if this is how and where it's always done.... Why worry
I contacted the guy who i think is running the FB page for the freeride about this subject................
This was his response.
:ugh:
Tha fuq?
BTW, has anyone been to this spot before? This is where the Flatwater event is supposed to happen Friday. Where is the beach?
Zoom in to Street View and look...
Backie Chan...
Trying to find something that replicates your hull LOL... I've been upset with everything else i've stepped foot on since you let me ride it.
Denying younger generations the opportunity to get involved in the sport is like wishing that it won't ever grow.
Assume they're available here:
Kid wants one, parents don't ride. They get one for their kid and end up buying a stand up for themselves.
Not the most likely scenario (likely...
At first I was gonna knock using vinyl, but honestly $150 isn't that bad.
Is the ski painted or gel coated now?
If it was me, i'd rattle can it. But I enjoy that kinda stuff. I'd have about $150 in materials and it would take me 2-3 times longer using rattle cans. But it would be cool!
Ok, its settled.
I'll be there on...
I hate that I can't stay for the surf, but this is more research than fun. I'm 99% sure i'm gonna plunk down some cash on a particular hull, but why not ride it, and others while i'm there. And since I haven't ridden surf yet, I don't see the point...
I plan on coming out to test ride some hulls and meet everyone.
I'll be flying in early and leaving around 5 or 6..
I think Saturday would be my best bet, but maybe Sunday?
Any thoughts?
No, its kind of an art piece. But functional...
The guy who produces knives out of all sorts of things. The best part is that they're all pretty affordable IMO.
