I'm in the process of debating of what my options are on a set of 62t cases. can I just run 64x cylinders? Yes but you need to bore the cases to clear the larger 760 sleeves. I'm more than likely running the 701 61x top end, but want to learn more about this 760 ordeal. Here are my conclusions...
Run 2 bolts for each mount. You should have just contunued to drill the bolts out completely with a drill bit. Staying as centered as possible, but more then likely your gonna be getting close to one side of the insert. When that happens stop and dremel the other side with a carbide dremel bit...
The plate goes with their manifold. So ya gotta have both. Price, I know the R&D Dominator's are about $250 (same concept). And you can have the carb's off in the time you can unscrew 4 hex bolts with a allen wrench...
One of my mounts was bad on the B1 so I figured I'd swap in all my new ones I had sitting on the shelf... Well one head broke off and then a insert spun when I was tryin to install a mount. Ive soaked the broken bolt with PB blaster to get the corrosion broken down a little and hoping I can grab...
Man this thread just makes me realize how bad water quality has gotten. Its terrible. I guess im real lucky that the lake I ride on is in a state park and is super clean. Its a dark lake from the constant flow of water (silt) but you can see down a good 6 feet.
I bought one of those. The seller I got it from said he bought it new from Yamaha as a aftermarket steering upgrade directly through them. So its a yamaha part and they go for around $100 used
That happened to me on a B1, flyin down the front stretch and I hadn't ever really been in the surf before... I kept waffling to hop over the wave or not until it was too late and I got rolled! That sucked bad
