I thought Krash made hulls with a choice of Yam or Kawi set up's a while back? Could possibly find a nice JB-1 or Predator with a bit of searching for used.
The Evo is a wicked boat, less nimble then the Edge but more predictable especially with tubbies. Pierre said to me it's his favourite hull for big surf....thye just seem to be hard to find.

I always loved the blue/white Evo's....As @Big Kahuna said part it out.
I have a 61x/61x motor with 5mm adr crank so about 810cc. Was first running a 48 Novi with nice power but hanged to a SBN 46 following advice from a friend with the same engine and it made a big difference, more bottom end response with the same mid to high punch.
If flatwater flipping is your main priority should you be looking more towards a full freestyle ski rather than a rec boat? What about the M1 or SV-Pro?
I had a shackle through the area in green on my old evo, worked great. I used the strap to hold my hood pad down too. The hood design is great but better safe than sorry dude.
Pull the motor slide a bar or something down to meet the shaft and hit it out that way. Had this with a cheap mid shaft last year and ended up cutting the main shaft in the pump tunnel as it was so badly corroded.
Good luck.
Cheers for that dude, i was talking to a french guy a few days ago that has done the same to his Evo, sounds a bit tricky but possibly worth a go.
Hope you are keeping well.
