Sorry to hi jack but while your on the topic, i was given a 12.5 - 18.5 prop when i bought my 155 skat track pump as part of the deal, is this going to be any good for my xscream ss 900, ATP twin spark, ATP 48mm carbs and PFP which is going in a revolver? And if not what would you recommend.

Thanks, Adz.
Adz ,i would think that prop is for a much larger motor ( ie:1200 cc or couch ?) no worries posting your questioning on this thread ,its purpose is to get some general information out on these type of set ups,for people to use how they please be it a baseline or other .besides my threads usually end up a wreck by the time its over ,so post away .Also thanks to all that participate in the original topic !

what you calling the 900 a weedwhacker today, but three years prior calling it an "arm yanker ". I think soooo

"Weedwhacker" may me a bit harsh, RubberSlut. Mea Culpa. It's more like a complete waste of time!

You say:
[QUOTE="rubbertoe, [,im just trying to see all its capable of with a good tune before i move on ? pictures in this post is with my old 144mm solas pump w 12/18 hooker, thumbnail picture in first post is with 155mm pump ,see the difference in height ? my thread is about pump and tune [/QUOTE]

I'm calling BS.

I know what you're real goals are with that boat...and I'm telling you, with all sincerity...that you are wasting YOUR EFFING TIME. You've got the missing component to achieve that goal sitting on your bench, and you're simply wasting time and $$$$.

But, hey...don't let me rain on your pump and tune thread...knock yourself out.

I tend to agree. If you have/plan to install a 10mil 1000 why waste the time pump tuning for a SS900. Youre just gonna have to redo it for the 1000? IDK just a weird way of doing thing imo. Good luck. EDIT: I just had a thought. Wasnt Eli running a very similar setup in his Hurricane? Have you contacted The Ski Clinic (ugh) and asked them instead of asking the forum? I mean, you being a loyal multiple hull purchaser youd think theyd just lay the info on ya. Like I said, just a thought.

FAIL. BIG. MASSIVE. HUGE. GINORMOUS. COLOSSAL . FAIL.

*SIGH*

Rubber Weenie…what components and information, exactly, do you need to “gather up” to make this happen?

Set that motor up… exactly, to a T, lo mismo, precisely, the way that Rodney ran it.

I have the timing curve and jetting specs.

If you are so slammed, then here’s my “Godfather” offer to you...

Get that motor and boat over to my shop tomorrow morning, and I’ll have you ready to ROCK in 24 hours.

Enough with the madness and excuses.

Ackwa-dik-wad ,Dude you don't give up ? It's like a chihuahua nipping at my ankles . Although it did warm my heart a bit to see you getting your exercise out there with your boat swimming and getting towed around and such , a regular circus act ,all that we're missing were the big red shoes .i guess swimming ,towing ,beach wrenching are the things I am really missing out on when running a "weed whacker" can't wait ! You sooooo crazy !

To keep things on track , i was able to test with the stubby cone yesterday and with my set up it was a noticeable improvement in getting on the pipe a bit earlier. 6/13 feels really good possibly a tad on the tall side but thats ok .this motor is plenty strong and has no problems pushing it . ( note to self : pay no attention to post above )

D-Roc

I forgot!
I run a 9/15 e75 skat swirl with my 771cc dasa. Have adjustable reduction nozzle and different size cones is needed to tune the pump for whatever prop pitch your running. I increase reduction nozzle diameter while using the smallest tail cone. You need to test each diameter until you can almost slip the prop. Almost, not actually slip the prop. This ensures you engine is revving up fast and snappy. Then increase tail cone size to make it yank out of your arms. I personally think you are all running to low pitch props to get the feel you want but that is my opinion. Like I said I run a 9/15 with 771cc and once I dialed it in, it is so much better than my 144 pump.

D-roc its good to hear from you man ! with out some more comparison its hard for me to say im 100% sure .also a wise man once said "there's more than one way to skin a cat " so to speak. but lets just say that more than one reputable source has pointed into these prop gearing #numbers range.but different combo's is what this thread is about . say for instance i change to the 1litre the recommended prop was in the 7/17 range .and yes i agree 100% on the 155 being way better .this pump just launches and doesn't stop cranking water ,much improved.but a well paired 144 will still hit very good if all the components are correct and working together .so a 9/15 huh ? let me ask what is the size of your exit turn combo ? and your saying you can get it close to spinning this prop ? crazy man ! tell me more

D-Roc, this pump you are using paired with this 771, how many vanes does it have? I believe OP and others in this thread are talking about a 12 vane. You're spinning a 9 in a 12 vane with a 771 that is really something.
