Hey guys - starting to think about pump tuning more and I’m considering switching trim systems. Currently I’m on a thrust system with a plastic steering nozzle and bored stock exit nozzle (I wanna say 91mm but would have to go check my notes). I’m unhappy with the quality of this trim (cable sucks and breaks easily. Also rusts. The general design of the system is just poor). I also believe I should be running a bigger exit and steering nozzle - say, 92mm and 94mm.

So, my question is, does anyone know these diameters for the popular trim systems? It doesn’t seem to be published anywhere unless I’m just missing it...
Considering: Raptor, Xscream, RRP or anything else that’s recommended.

Thanks for any help!!

If you want a cable that wont break you will need to install a second steering cable used for trim. I had mine installed when I had the hull built Air Blair DFX. I have been running it for two years now with zero problems. It costs a little more up front but the steering cables can take so much more abuse. A little work and time. It draws some attention but works so well. As to the nozzle sizes I am unsure but everyone is running some big nozzles. It seems that tuning the nozzle is the last step (sometimes overlooked) I am working on a CF nozzle right now that the ID will be 96mm. The trim nozzle for this nozzle will be 102mm. I am always playing with parts, I cant help myself. Just my thing .

I run the P&P Raptor System...my reduction nozzle is at 89mm not sure of the steer nozzle

This is the best trim system on the market without question.

I prefer the old style xs trim system over the new style of you are looking for a more inexpensive route

What sort of trigger finger lever are you using for a steering cable sized trim cable? Any chance you can post a pic?
