You should be golden.....4mm on top will keep you toasty! Probably exactly what I'll rip in...

It all depends on the weather. Some days at freeride can be sunny, no wind, warm not much neoprene needed. Other days, years you will want it all - hoodie under helmet, fullsuit, gloves, booties...

on the coldest Florida last year, I rode with 45* air temps in a 3/2 wetsuit, and was fine, like jetmaniac said, depends on the weather and wind
