Not to say your wrong or anything, but brake parts cleaner cleans. light color turf very well, still high maintenance. My turf is pink. I'm always cleaning it. It still looks good though.

Limco single stage. Make sure u don't go cheap. Do it right the first time! I got paint from autozone.. Sucked. Had to redo everything. It was actually cheaper toget good paint and mix it. Get all the imperfections out as well. I wet sanded the hell outa it and it came out nice

i really need help with the installation of footholds and how to turf around them. did you use a pre formed mat kit? or did you fit it yourself from sheets?

dont do the pre cut kit. with a heat gun and patience it will stretch right around the footholds. you may have to slit the turf, but you can do it inside the foothold so it will not be seen. fx-1's are cool, depends on what you want to do. they seem a little to skinny for me. i wouldnt necessarily call it an upgrade lol. if your riding flatwater i'd stay on the square and save up money for an A/M hull. from talking to some other guys the fx-1 being skinnier sits further down in the water, which causes more resistance when flicking the ski around. i may be 100% wrong. but if you look at aftermarket hulls, wider seems to be the direction everyone is going.

you will, some people go out and their first ski is just badass, others progress into the huge engines they ride and love. that 701 wont always suit your needs. unless your in surf. the fx-1s are nice though. they're supposedly pretty light

im more interested in surf riding and i would love the fx-1 it just looks all around nicer and it has more of what i want but inless i sell the superjet by thursday i can kiss that good bye, so it looks like im sticking with the sj. does anyone know any good threads about installing footholds?

FX1's are cool but I never liked riding them. Being as tall as I am 6' 2" it was like riding a pencil on water... Way short and handled like a bag of :):):):)! IMO
