Anyone ever ridden or owned one of these F-15 LASERJET skis??
Do they have big problems or reliable??

How does it compare to SJ 650, Kawaski 650sx, 550 etc....

I may buy one and just wondering if its any good??

it will be a money pit without the coolness of being a superjet. which means you'll spend time and money trying to find info and parts for it to keep it running and then mod it to try and make it feel more freestylish. I would personnally pass on it.

I have one,I have never spent any money on it,I actually made money on it ,so when I spend $300.00 on it I will be back at the point where I have money into it.I am now modding the hull to accept a 650 pump and a 750 Kawi engine.Freestyle SXR killer in the making here, super light hull.Fawk a Superjunk.

To me it felt identical to a 750sx, no lighter, the power was the same. They handle okay, way better than a 550 or 650 and are considerably faster. You have an FX1, I would pass on the laserjunk, they are not made very well at all. The whole thing is made of chipboard and cereal boxes.

Not necessarily, while a lot of 550 parts will FIT they are not the same. The cases, cylinders, driveshaft, bearing housing and pump are non OEM kawasaki.

Cases will interchange, pumps will also, the driveshaft and bearing housing are definatly one off but the bearings are the same. The cylinders are totally different as well as the intake and the cylinder head, wiseco pistons are readily available as are 550 cranks, all the ignition components interchange.I had a 750 it rode nothing like the 750 at all and was much lighter and way faster.Last time I checked cereal boxes were not made from e-glass,they may differ in your area though.

Sure the cases will interchange, then you cant use the flywheel cover, then you cant use the Ebox, then you have to find somewhere to mount the ebox. Dont even get me started on the PUMP!!! It may be "identical" to a 440 pump but I know from experience the 440 doesnt just "drop in". Either way, I owned two Laserjunks and rode them back to back to both a 750sx and sxipro and IMO they handle identical to the 750sx. Thats beside the point of them being made out of cardboard....plywood bulkhead WTF? They are made to go fast and throw away, I actually talked to an older guy by me that knew the racer I bought my first LJ from and he had nothing but bad things to say about it. My best advice would be to stay away from them, unless you like never ending "projects" you will likely not enjoy it for very long, save your money diggler, I know from experience. Wedo, when was the last time that thing saw water? How much did you ride it?

It was in the water last year, its in several pieces now as its getting a 750 Kawi powerplant and jet pump,I sold the engine late last year,I rode it quite a bit actually and I owned a 750sx and it at the same time,I don't get how you can say they handle the same.Heres what I don't get, all I hear here is lightweight this and lightweight that. This is the original lightweight ski, with a modded 750 in it it will be one very nice ski,it will need some reinforcment but every superjet on the planet needs that from the factory. So my question is this, why all the hating,I will build it and I will ride it and will have fun doing so,in the end thats all that really matters isn't it.

Yes, in the end that is all that matters. I was just advising diggler to stay away from it. From what I can tell of his mechanical apptitude and desire to do this the right way its probably not something he wants to take on.

On that point I must agree with you.
