Speaking of well other islands.....We're headed for the first trip of the year to partake in a little Derby Day fun at Kelley's Island. Got the race crew coming in for some practice too. Hope every has had time to get out for some spring waves and sun.

U only have to worry about the bay water, due to all the boats and people. Other than that the water is clean.

Cant believe summer is almost here... I cant wait to get to the hothole this next weekend, Jam at the Dam, Rock N' Ride, the Put-In-Bay Freeride, Wave Rave, and Freestylefest! This summer is going to be great! hope the ski holds out!

yeah... it is crazy how different the ski handles... the throttle is a little touchy... I am still getting used to it. I have been out 3 times now this year... so far I am really liking all the changes I made.... pretty awesome compared to stock!

Eric..good to hear man. I've had some tweaking to do on mine. I have the xmetal too and have a hard time going from race ski to that is terms of the pole weight. So, I'm putting a spring on mine.
DJ...forgot to thank you for the video. Really liked it. I'm no backflipper or anything like that, so it was great to see a video with riders doing stuff that i can do.
Wish me luck this weekend as I'm gonna brave the great city of Cleveland. Weekend trip to see my girls in the Wood and party out in Mentor

Something I found by using the link in the first post to do a mock reservation:
1) you have to do a reservation: no walk-ons during summer time - so make sure you book your site using that link...
2) campsites are starting to fill up... about 50% booked already compared to about 25% last month and the good sites are going fast... 42 and 44 are good ones just from past experience and are still open as of today
3) you have to book for a minimum of 2 nights... this makes sense since they sell out every weekend in the summer. Most $ for them....

FYI::::: I just called the gas station on the island and they only sell 87 octane :Eyecrazy:... I thought they sold higher, but I guess not... so fill up your ski's tank and all your fuel jugs! If you dont have a high compression head then you'll be fine!

Nope, nothing wrong with the water around the islands. At least that time of the year that I have ever experienced in my years up there.
That should be a major understatement! That flywheel alone is probably amazing.
