I wish I had something to compare it to.... the engine I had in my blaster was similar with a lightened flywheel, but then I had a bunch of other mods including porting I dont have on this engine, so I dont know the difference.... all I know is that compared to stock last year it was like learning to ride on a different ski... just with the handling mods alone....

Campsites are almost all booked.... If anyone is at all interested in going (and will be camping) then you should reserve one SOON.

Instructions on how to reserve a site are in the first thread... you can do it online in about 3 minutes.

things iv learned

just rode put-in bay all week and i must say riding all day and drinking all night ad's up to a good life. few things iv learned
1.trailer/tow parking is very limited i highly recc those w/ out campsites get together to bring the most skis w/ the least rigs. I had to almost get into a brawl with some non english speaking folk as they were trying to drive around me to get in the spot i was holding for our rig.ramps get interesting
2.PRAY FOR A SOUTH WEST WIND that kicks the little bay area up but they are very close sets.
3.If you like your ski, bring a anchor its a rock beach all around that cove and i mean all rocks
4.watch out for the jetski rental retards that ride right off the beach they are complete morons.
5.watch where you ride the island has crazy sandbars well offshore under 1 foot deep. i dumped it going around the island in 3-4;s and was standing 1000 feet offshore.
prices have gone up on the ferry, for us to take 3 people,a tripple trailer w/ 1 ski in the bed of the truck both ways was 110$$$$
so if that helps anyone in anyway cool, should be a good time.

yeah... the ferry isnt cheap, but its worth it....

The rocks on the beach are a biatch... this is why I am trying to make sure someone has a good tote we can use to pull out skis out onto the grass when we arent riding... I think Scoot72 said he has one... anyone else have one that they can bring? I will still be bringing my anchor with me anyways as well...

I have 4 including me at the campground. Carfanatic, if you need a spot you can get in with us. I passed the word more at our race this past weekend, but a lot either can't or don't want to go with our race finale' being that next weekend after the freeride. I'll have a beach cart for sure.

South Bass State Park Campground phone to find out about parking : 419-285-2112 .... doubt you will be able to park by the campsite.... they might let you park by the boat ramp....

I have a decent tent you can use... let me know if you want to use it... or you can just buy a little tent at walmart for cheap.... then just bring a few blankets and a pad to sleep on...

just make sure you get there... after that you will just need to sleep somewhere to sober up and somewhere to park your stuff... if Scoot72 as room on his trailer or truck you might be able to ride over with him on the ferry... if you do that you guys would have to try and hide those gas containers in his vehicle or something... they might say something if you have too many... they allow 3 containers per vehicle... gotta bring enough containers with 93 octane.... they only sell 87 on the island... I would call the park and then get ahold of scoot72 to figure things out with him...

I take it the camp ground has showers and stuff right?

maybe scoot will have some more info.

I woke up one time and was on a small beach on the FAR EAST side.

It took me like 2 hours to walk back to the camp site.

What's up boys. Love everyone's memories of times past and all the drunken lunacy. I'm headed over this Sat. for the evening and hope to check out the campground. I am pretty sure they have shower houses. Most of them do and with that being a big destination I would say they would.

Carfanactic. the best thing to do is give me a ring so I can go over thing with you on our end and general stuff you might want to bring to camp. My number is 419-202-5020

These next few weeks are gonna be crazy up here for me. So, if I don't post right away and want to know something give me a ring. I'm a gonna get all the info from my gang this weekend as far as who's bringing their skis, trailer, etc. As far as getting our stuff over, I am bringing the trailer I bought off Eric and have it situated to fit 3 skis. I have an suv, but hoping my buddy will bring his truck so we can fit another ski in back. We're gonna hide plenty of fuel with us too.

Miller Ferry has a 2) 5gal. jug limit now. That will go prety quick. I hope everyone brings tons of gas so we can ride to the other islands as well and really explore with everyone.

Another option is us bringing out enclosed race trailer. we fit 3 in there plus a chance to definatley bring more fuel.

Sounds good..I wake at 5:30 am for work so try to call before 9pm if you can. If I bring the race trailer, I may fill my 30 gal drum and we can pump it out of there. I'm gonna call the ferry to see if it costs more than a reg. double trailer
