First little snag. The pump has these tabs on it so it didn't fit right in the hull.

Lookin great guys!!! So cool to see a father and son team! That's a perfect spot to mount your pissers too, that's where we always mounted ours so we could turn them into the tray for hotfeet!

Haha thanks man! We love wrenching and riding together! And yeah! We ride all year around so we do the same thing! (;

Got up early and started back into it...

Installed the new Rad Dudes Exhaust Tube...

Ran into a snag with the waterbox. The height of the B-Pipe exit and to get the Exhaust Tube to clear the battery required the Water Box to be raised about 3 inches. SInce we have an X-Metal waterbox arriving on Monday, we Magyver'd it by wrapping duct tape around two layers of the packing styrofoam (thanks Ski Clinic) and putting it under the box. That'll work for tomorrow's test ride then we'll swap out the SN water box for the x-metal next week.

The strap for the kart tank was too long so we shorted it by tying a single knot in it.

We didn't want to drill anymore holes in the hull, so we mounted the primer to the exhaust tube. We only need the primer if the ski has sat for a week without running so it's no big deal to open the hood when we first get to the water.

Made a little mod to the Jet Maniac limiting strap. We used heavy duty shrink wrap to cover the cable cinch. Looks better and protects you and the ski from damage.

Epoxied in some extra breathing tubes into the hood at DKs suggestion. The xmetal pole breathing tubes may not be enough on their own.

Epoxied the bilge bracket the hull... just pop in the bilge tomorrow morning and good to go.

Got the trailer modified to hold the BOB and we're ready to ride tomorrow.

All in the build took us about 7-8 hours... excluding food and beer breaks :).

Looking good, did you cut any openings in the hood for air to get in? Unfamiliar with those hoods but I don't see any holes in any pictures..

example of what I'm talking about:

tyyj.jpg

the hood comes with the intakes in the rear of the hood (works more as a drain for water that MAY get in). most people run RRP on a bob and they can get sufficient air through the pole, but we are running an Xmetal pole... obviously. hahaha so we cut two holes in the hood liner and now the "drains" work as air intakes and we will gen more than enough air! :bananajump:

Ok, just couldn't see any drains in the pictures and didn't want you to not have enough air abbrev you got to the lake :)

Haha... That's funny. I didn't pay attention to which end of the hood the holes were on.

Here is a picture of the actual holes... look a lot like the ones you drew on...

First ride today... Love this ski!

The pics are a bit grainy due to a telephoto lens zoomed in. Shot them across the no wake zone...

Seems back flipping is a lot to do with making and timing the set up wake. Both Sam and I did a bunch of back flops with a few just nosed in... more practice required :)

Almost all technique on the setup for flips. You have to do a lot of things in about two seconds of time. Just starting to get the flips down myself after a year.

I'd recommend running their long ride plate if you have one.
