Here's a project I've been working on for a bit now... finally getting some actual progress in.. here's a photo dump of my work and progress.. still alot left to do.. I need some assistance with few things like battery mount,
what can I eliminate from the ebox and make it smaller..
still need a gas tank..
Water lines and routing
Steering and trim seems like there's going to be issues..

I know the front is steep I'm going to work on that..

Most of my progress has just been sanding, today getting the exhaust and handpole welded.
Got some weights
Hull with pump shoe 61lbs
Engine with as much stuff as I could stack on it lol 180lbs... hoping to keep it under 350lbs wet... the weight I'm at now I think I can shave a few lbs.. but that will be taken up by fiberglass. Still gotta add the hood in there too... should have more updates soon

Start to finish build pics... tiktoks

Got a tiny bit of fiberglass started, getting excited to do more! There's going to be a ton of sanding cause I'm not good at this fiberglass work

Ok so I thought the pictures would be in somewhat of the order I selected but thats not the case so...

I added some thickened epoxy by the pump tunnel because the 900 tunnel was wider than the 300 tunnel by alot..

Also tried to smooth out the seams for the nose before I start to glass it in, didn't work out so great

I filled in the gas door quick because I made too much epoxy when I was doing the inside of the pump tunnel...

Then I decided I wanted to do something different with the tubbies idea... so I got 2in thick pink foam, slapped it up and I kinda liked it, so I trimmed it up and stuck it on with epoxy...

My thoughts behind this is... ...long winded
Having the front ride higher in the water than the rear so it pops out of the water better, with the 900cc triple I don't want it sitting really low in the water.. I do want the tail sitting low in the water for hook up... im hoping to get the ski to ride at about a 40 degree angle.. should put my body angle more foreword with a shorter handpole... all this I'm doing because I'm building this ski to specifically be for jumping with high hopes of a back flip... (even if it has to be off a wake)...

I love seeing what's in my mind come together even if it's not perfect it's ok because I am doing doing it 100% by myself... and if it fails I'll tear it apart and do it again...

Thanks for following my build so far.. and there will be more updates soon!!!

So I have some more progress on the "wide body 900sx"
I was able to get the tubbie/sponson glassed in, and currently I have the upper portion of that being glued on.. I have to get some more chop strand mat biax cloth and 105 resin.. before I'm able to get the top side and the other side done...
Once the top is glued on ill be able to shape it more..

Here are the pictures in no specific order cause I havnt figured that part out yet

Ok so I have the right side glassed in. It's not done, it's not anywhere near done.. butttt... its closer... im going to start on the left side soon. I think now that I have a better understanding about how I did the first side, the other side should go faster... I really like how the shape is coming together, and I wish I would have been able to get all the air bubbles out... I realize those will be weak spots, once I laminate the inside and outside with carbon/kevlar it should be plenty strong... im also going to do a top coat of epoxy over the entire thing...

Anyway once both sides are "wide bodied" I'll be moving to the inside, then I may do the tray/rear.. or bottom hull... man I can't wait to try this thing out.... so much work lefttttttttt

I also added a picture of the recent purchase a 96 wave venture 1100...

Ditch that project and get a part time job at mcdonalds. Put in half the amount of hours flipping burgers and then buy a used bob. :)

I was able to get some better pictures of the 1st side.. now that I have that side "done" lol is anything ever done... this seems like it is never going to get finished...

I was able to glue on the 2nd sides lower section.. I hope that tomorrow I'm able to sand it down... I don't know if I'll be able to get more fiberglass done on that tomorrow or not...

Just gotta keep chipping away on it

Thanks for the continued support and encouragement! I appreciate it... hoping to see this thing actually move forward it feels like nothing is happening... once I finish this "wide body" portion.. I have a feeling like it will fly by...

This morning after work I was able to get to shaping on the 2nd side lower and I have the fiberglass cut and ready to go... time for bed after working the real job last night

I must not have grabbed the finished shape picture cause this picture is still blocky, o well

Having also taken on way too many fiberglass projects (nothing compared to yours though) it is bringing back all kinds of itchy memories. Yet I cant stop following your thread. o_O
