4 stroke stand ups (Kawasaki/Yamaha)

Unless Yamaha and Kawasaki also plan on offering a two stroke option in addition to the four stroke then Four stroke stand ups are a bad idea. Just look at the Hydrospace. That pig is useless unless you’re a racer. A four stroke stand up would ruin our sport and everything we are all about. It seems to me too many people are willing to “cave” to the tree huggers when we should be banding together and fighting them. If watercraft enthusiasts, moto cross and off roaders as well as even companys that make weed wackers would all band together we would be a formidable foe for the tree huggers and environmentalists to go up against.

Yeah! The nerve of those people complaining about poluting machenery! Forget the fact that green house gases are on the rise and global warming will be an epedemic in 10 years. What are those guys thinking??
I thought someone with a plethera of kids would be concerened for their kids future on this little planet.

Yamaha has had a 4 stroke Superjet since about 1998. They just do not want to produce it because they see no point in selling a heavy stand up-dog. Kawasaki also has one with a 12f based motor in it, not sold for the same reasons

It's just a fact of demand. My local dealership has maybe 1 standup and 30 couches (well its all sleds right now). The average obese guy that can afford a new toys isn't eying up a 4 or 2 stroke stand-up. If kawi sold even 15% of it's PWC sales as stand-ups there would be innovation. For all the rumors that have been drumming around I've heard kawi might drop the SXR all together. Although I have seen more new standups on the lake last summer than ever before.

When I'm at a lake people always come up and ask "you got one of those old stand up?" and when you tell them its an 04' they are always shocked and say how they didnt know they were still around.
