Such a sweet build, just read through your whole thread and it really is a piece of art! I am in the middle of building my FX1 and am so glad I stuck with this ski instead of a SJ. Looking forward to seeing it at Pismo in March if you are there.

Thank you all so much, yes they are dual 44mm blackjacks, the engine is a freshly built 771. The tubbies are from blowsion and took a lot of work to get to where they look now but well worth it

Nice build!! good to read through these threads before embarking on my build. thanks for the write up! the girdle kit that you have pictured here looks better than what I have...where did you get that? I like the idea of having studs in the lower half to screw into.

The head/gridle kit is from blowsion, I think its a kommander head sold by blowsion. Yeah its great for engine assembly as you can bolt the cylinders to the case without having to put the head on.
