Well its been awhile since I updated my build.... Details

Removed XS1000 & Replaced with Dasa-Thrust built 16 mil 1100cc package... All tuning by Brian at Thrust

Sold the Flame! And Replaced with NEW MSD TL system

Today I built a MSD plate from an old over sized MSD SJ plate.... Cut my XM steering plate & did some welding. Now the Bars are moved 1 in fwd closer to the pivot bolt.

Why did you decide to replace the Flame with an MSD setup? Is the flywheel lighter?

*edit I should have read the whole thread, the MSD has a hotter spark. Why makes it hit harder off the bottom?

The Flame FW is lighter right out of the box compared to MSD... But we fix that problem & it becomes lighter than the Flame...

We tested the Dasa 1100 with the Flame & then with the MSD... Performance was night & day... Ski runs smoother on the bottom end, Starts better, Made more power across the board... I've also rode Lucas's ski back to back with mine... Same setup's only I had the Flame & he had the MSD... Same results his motor had more snap (With less Advance at that)

I'm not saying the ATP Flame is a bad system, it has its problems just like MSD...I used it for 1 yr & worked some bugs out of the system & chris helped with making new flashes to correcting issues. The flame isn't for me with my FW ski, great surf ski TL...

If your going to ride saltwater everyday the flame is a better way to go, well until Thrust Innovations fixes the msd issue!

If you ride freshwater & want the most you can get out of a motor package you have to go MSD TL

I run (2) 1/2in cooling lines for the motor & a single 3/8 cooling line just for the pipe thats why you see so many fittings

But Yes it's a custom pump size, custom Setback, so you have to make tabs to bolt up the reduction, then you still have to extend the steering cable... Its a fun job, hope it works

... My Good buddy loaned it to me, I was spinning my other pump on the bottom still...

Going to the lake to ride tonight, will post a ride report later

Playing with prop pitch ... Had it almost perfect with old pump, now bigger pump

But now I know where to go

I feel the bigger pump loads a lot more water and will be the way to go just gotta get the right prop
