The cases and the under side of the pistons are coated in a black coating - should help to help relieve excess heat and the black is also oil and gas resistive. This helps lube the bearings and the areas that aren't coated in black. The pistons are coated with a (gray) low friction/anti-seize coating.

I was kind of talked into the coatings by a friend and we did it all ourselves. Requires you to sand blast all surfaces and have access to an oven to bake parts after spraying the coating on.

I sure hope they work. :ponder:

Chingee . . . believe it or not, that fish has is a world traveler - my wife and I brought him overseas in a Nalgene bottle to Euorpe. He went through the X-Ray machine a total of 8 times and we've had him since 2003! Now that I've said that, I'm sure he'll be floating belly up when I get home - jinks !!

I put all my engine parts in the dish washer after a scrubbing with the hose outside. I use to wash my 63 corvette hub caps in there also.

haha....maybe we know why - some gals just wouldn't understand hubcaps & motor parts in the dishwasher. Maybe I'll see how the parts washer does on that greasy, baked-on-grime covered casserole dish:biggthumpup:

When I was a poor bachelor, I used my spare bedroom as a tool and jetski parts room. The living room had the best stereo system, so that is where assembly took place...

May all the 550 parts that past my way RIP. :arms:
