If you comparing a stock sj to a stock sxr. The sxr kills the sj in everyway.
The sxr is the best all alround boat in my opinion. You can rip turns and jump wakes it will just be a lot harder to flat water roll.

i am curious as to how u did this, i can barely get em outta the water.

Look at the top of the page... It was D slickers sxr I rolled. It is tech. and a little nuts to try. It is really not that hard. Next time we all ride flat I will get pics or vid. :Banane01:

I think D slicker setup is awesome. especially with the XMETAL pole.. BLING ! Brap !

WOrd !

Whatcha got on there DSlick?

Mine is basically

Wet Pipe
Head
Flame Arrestors
Vilder Flywheel
-2 UMI pole
UMI Bars

I actually think I will be able to roll it off of like 2 footers. Especially after I chop that big ass rideplate off.

I own an sj and my cousin has a stock sxr with footholds. I myself am just figuring out how to perfect my flatwater rolls. the sj is much easier but i rode the sxr last week, tryed rolling it 5 times and on the fifth try i had it 3/4 or the way around. with a little more bottom end im sure i could nail it on his ski. With some bottom end and good technique both machines can be used for flatwater freestyle. but you could save yourself alot of work and get an sj!

Not sure if you guys had seen it yet, but over at pwc tomorrow someone had someone else modify there waterbox, and they are talking like it made a big improvement.

Its under Harrry Klem Group K

ditch the sxr waterbox?

Yeah, there is a guy that modifies them. You can't ditch them or they run like crap. That was Gil

D slick.. we have similar set ups... except mine is UMI pole and yours is XMetal.

If you get the chance, a flywheel makes a huge difference in your bottom end!

DJ, I am in the process of either a 3DR hood or a RAD flywheel (same price). I may do both :Banane01: I would send mine out to get lighted but i dont want the down time.

Don't get it lightened.... The aluminum ones add 2x the brap of the lightened ones.. screw the hood. Do it next year! :cheer:

I orderd the flywheel ten minutes after I wrote that. :Banane01: :Banane01: :Banane01:

i first had a squarenose Sj stock and really didn't like it. i sold that to a friend and bought a new sxr last year. i rode it all summer loving the hell out of it and had no interest in getting another sj.

i wanted to give an sj another shot so i bought a nicely modded roundnose off scorn this winter and after riding it for the first two times, i fell in love with it. i was a hardcore defender of the sxr and loved it before. it carves great and is fun to cruise around on. i thought it was decent at jumping wakes too... until the roundnose came around! the sj is so much more fun and way easier to get airborn. you couldn't tear my sj away from me now!!

the sxr will get sold this summer.

You can def roll an SXR. I have rolled one with footholds and one with tray lifters. We have an Octane that we flat water roll. If you can roll the barge then you can roll the SXR.
