I never said I wasn't going to race. It's just nice to be competitive so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Love the SJ for jumping, but I've never quite figured out how to run buoys well with it.

having a race like this with all the top pro stand racers ay daytona is huge , freeriding, racing, daytona is becoming the jet ski event , when people see a pro stand up race for the first time they will love it, seeeing the skis going into the first turn is great, and throw in some surf , it will be monster

Dude...chill out. All he ever said is that he would love to ride in some huge waves. Never said he was the best rider around.
btw...hoping for 3-4 foot windy choppy chaotic waves for the race...it's the only shot Matt or I have at getting past the 1st round...We are used to riding in crappola....

"Happy New Year from Mike Young"s Hydro-X Tour! Boober's Bling's $1,000 Surf Championships are coming to hang with Nick and the crew from the east coast's largest freeride!!!Racers and freeriders are invited to this one-of-a-kind event! There is only so much room in the two classes we will be racing, which are both open, so please email me at mpyoungjr@aol.com, if you are 100% going to be there. Entry fee is $100 for Pro and $60 for Amateur, cash at event only. First come, first served as we know this will fill up quick. Registration will be on Friday night 7pm-8pm at the Mai Kai (host hotel), if you email me before thenThis will showcase the best surf racers in the world, while maintaining the integrity of sanctioned racing (Pro racing safety crew on-site). This will be our first IJSBA sanctioned event since the IJSBA was the USA affiliate to their own organization and we are happy to accomodate. Thanks to NIck, Boober, Daytona, Beach, IJSBA, and my crew...Marky, Randy, Cliffy, Shawn, and Sea Doo for the safety marshall boats. Lots of celebs will be on hand...fans are welcome!!! "

the pros are invitation i beleive.....
will the course be open throughout the duration of the ride to shred on before and after the race? will it be in the middle of the zone or on one of ends?
Pro by invitation is what I was told and amatuer by who wanted to sign up, but this was the first that I heard of any entry fee for amatuer or pro's

it will be setup sunday morning prior to the race... it will not take up very much riding area...
hmm, it may be interesting to put it up friday or saturday morning to let people play on it. this would weed out some of the AMs when they realize they cant hang.
it could also make for a dangerous situation...
