boyensen quick removal carb plate

Anyone out there use this plate for dual carbs?

If so, how quick is the removal?

Can u purchase the plate separate from Boyensen?

Price?

Anyone got one for sale?

The plate goes with their manifold. So ya gotta have both. Price, I know the R&D Dominator's are about $250 (same concept). And you can have the carb's off in the time you can unscrew 4 hex bolts with a allen wrench...

I make a setup that uses a mounting plate, but doesn't require the special manifold. It makes working on your carbs very easy.

I have a hard time removing mine. The fuel inlet and return nipples (46mm BlackJacks) were in the way of two of the screws. I had to buy a hex key set with the "ball" ends so I could remove them. Even with the engine out of the boat it was a PITA. I have since added fuel adjustment knobs and they have to come out (high speed) to access the screws beneath them. I can't see it being any fun with the motor installed.

The long ball end allens work well for me on these, not near as bad as wrenching both carb bases off and burning gaskets and having to readjust the linkage every time IMO.

The R&D doent compare IMO, as it is not an O-ring design so you still burn gasketes and I beleive the carbs are alot closer together as well?
