Other Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon 4 door big enough bed for SJ?

Does anyone tow their standup in the truck bed of a 4 door Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon? I'm considering getting one, but the truck bed seems too short to put my SJ in. Does anyone have any experience towing a standup in one of these? Or in short truck beds in general? Or can give me some insight?

it deff won't fit in the bed with the tailgate up. Should tow fine though. Mine barely fits in my silverado bed at an angle

If you dont mind leaving your tailgate open and tying a strap around the back the ski then it will be just fine.

They tow great, the rear springs will need to be beefed up a bit either with AAL or air springs like Mark Gomez added to his. I tow the crap outa mine and it pulls heavy loads just great. BTW, if you really want a monster get the 5.3L V8

We had a new Colorado for a short time just a couple months and got rid of it, because it was a real piece of junk in our opinion.
Sold it outright.

SJ did not fit without the tailgate down.

slid the ski in, pick up the rear or the ski, close the tail gate. put a strap around it to keep it from sliding around. i did this and pulled a double trailer. im not impressed with the truck but it did work.

my grandpa has a car lot and i have driven tons of trucks. this truck would be near the bottom of my list. the 5 cylinder is a real pos imo. the only pickup i would own is a toyota.

Yeah, I should have put I meant with the tailgate down.

the 5.3 motors are bullit proof!pushin 150000 on mine and runs like when I got it. Zero mechanical malfunctions that weren't my fault.( gettin sideways and hitten stuff and bending axles) Tows and rides great. I beat the shlt outa mine. Drive it hard since the day I owned. Laid down rubber out the dealership parking lot.
