One of my mounts was bad on the B1 so I figured I'd swap in all my new ones I had sitting on the shelf... Well one head broke off and then a insert spun when I was tryin to install a mount. Ive soaked the broken bolt with PB blaster to get the corrosion broken down a little and hoping I can grab onto the 1/8" of bolt stickin out with some visegrips. The spinning insert I dont really have a game plan yet.

Im sure others have dealt with these issues before and figured maybe I could try and get some advise from ya guys. Any help would be great!

This just happend to me three times as I tore down my SN. I turned the bolt with a ratchet until it was one the side of hole, that way the lip of the motor mount is sticking out from under the bed plate more. I then used vise grips to get a tiny grip on that plate that was sticking out like 1/8". I had to hold the vise grips in place and be careful with it and it worked. Slow process though.

Threads getting a bit dusty...I was back reading some stuff I've missed. I had this happen on one of my hulls. I scuffed the outside of the insert and added maybe a 1/16 to 1/8 in diameter to the opening and shoved Oatey Epoxy Puttey in that sucker and let it setup for 24 hours...finished my build and the thing has held up for two seasons. I was able to torque the engine mount bolt to specs as well. My Grandfather recommended that stuff to me years ago to fix a leaking pipe. It works about like JB Weld, but is stored as a solid and you activate the reaction by kneading the two parts together to make a puttey out of it. Hardens like a rock and I think you can tap it out as well. Just my 2 cents worth.
