Gas tank whitening?

Legit last line. I tried everything for my tank. It got cleaner but is still brown/yellow. I read this post a few days ago but you still got me with the thread title. I'll try anything that could be the miracle fix.

Has anyone tried sanding one down? Thinking just the outer layer was aged and soiled from use

McDog, Did you actually read what you posted?

It is a joke making fun of all the ways to ‘lighten‘ a tank.

Last line is that he replaced it with a new one.

Grill me if you want to lol...but I'd like to see someone try the NES whitening method on a tank or something. I've spoken to a few fellas that cleaned their NES this way and said it worked reasonably well...

Apparently the active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide, which of course y'all would already have from when you tried to change your hair color from brown to blond:

I already have my fuel tank out. I might have to try this method and see what happens....
