hmmmmm, lets see

MX Track, you ride it over and over, learn the lines, yes they change during the course of a day but it still the same track..... same jumps...................

Woods - you can ride the same sections over and over or you can adventure out, nothing is ever the same, kinda hard to memorize every rock, rut, root, hole, gully, hill, tree, tree limb, stump. drop offs, creek beds. hard to get bored when the sights change constantly........

I like change.......woods for me.

owned dirtbikes for a good part of my life.

84 - XL 80
85 - YZ80
82 - CR125
86? - KDX200
95 - XR250

I have had my share....... everybody stopped riding, so I sold my XR last summer.

Actually rode the KDX up at Warrior (Cullman) on the track...... never been so sore in my life!!!!!

82? 86? 95?... dam.. thats like having 4 300sx's, a 440, and a 550SX and then trying to have a conversation with pierre maxent about how much you guys have in common in the surf.... :dunno:

That is why woods riding is great, you dont have to be like the rest of the sheep and buy a new bike every year......
But what about the laptop? Do you have to have the latest one?
I've never ridden with one... In fact, the last time I rode MX or a trail, the laptops were something from science fiction...:ugh2:

Edwin, quit posting pics of other people... :Banane19:

seriously, point out which one of those guys is you, cause I know that pic of the guy looking back isn't you...

Hey Nick, is Edwin one of those guys who dresses up in all the gear and hangs out at the tracks, keeps his bike spotless, and never has any cuts or bruises??

i love riding in the woods but seems pretty easy to go from a top ten motocrosser to a top ten cc rider, but definitely not the other way around. cooper, keidrowski(sp) davis all those guys retired mx and were immediatelly national level outdoor riders!
my dad always told me "you learn everthing you need to learn about riding on an mx track."

i know there's alot of skills you need to learn like climbs roots etc but those are a hell of a lot easier to learn than it is to hold that throttle over a steep ass lip you cant see over..........

id rather trailride...

in all honesty. I respect Edwin for running tracks. It is not easy and does take alot of work, training, and mental preperation.........

Getting your hair just right is tough!!!!!!!!!! (sorry, had to say that)

but really, It is tough in its own way. I would not begin to know how to approach a double, much less a triple. I know, they say the best way is to just follow someone but man, that takes some serious commitment.

lol... dam.. ask jetrock and stricky about that. i crash at LEAST 3 times a day! it actually PISSES stricky off how many times i go down because he says i seem to bounce back.. inversely, he bends over to tie his shoes and he's in the hospital for 2 weeks.

and my bike is definitely not spotless.. although i WISH it were.. there's nothing like showing up to the track straight flossin with clean gear and a pimped bike! poser heaven baby!

:Banane01: i oughtta go in the garage and snap some pics for you fools!
