I could slap myself in the face tonight,

Been rebuilding carbs and noticed the highspeed adjuster was seized on both. So got some penitrating fluid and let it soak, i slowly tried working it back and forth and thought it was freeing up. Was it f***, the bloody thing sheared :aargh4:

So i'll try heat on the other adjuster before i wreck it aswell! but i need to get the sheared one out, any suggestions?

Can you get stud extractors that are small enough to fit in whats there?

I'm sure you can break a small screw extractors in there. Rule #1 of screw extractors... If the screw broke because it's stuck, the extractor will only break causing you to have to drill through hardened steel as well.

Maybe a machine shop can do it but honestly I don't know.

I guess the next possibility is what does it hurt to be left alone and broken? The needle should still be in the same place. If it was tuned at that setting for that long, I find it hard to believe that it needs adjusting now...unless you're adding a pipe or something.

Yeah if i was running the original setup then i would leave well alone but ive had a few modifications done and changed pump so realy need to tune!

I have the chance on a set of dan lamey 48's but think they will be too much for my set up, i'll keep looking for something differant but need to be sencible as ive just been payed off from my job so that helps heaps!!!!!
