I didit beforehand, I try to be perfectmake sure and run a tap into your exhaust manifold bolt holes, as well as wire brush/run your bolts through a die before you put them back in next time.

Do you guys have any words of advice for a first time surf rider?
sounds like our bunch, wait til the last minute to do everything and most always late. Finally done!!! I almost paid the price for procrastinating again. I waited until this afternoon to drop my motor in....and one surprise after another!!
I found out that when I busted up my ski when I hit bottom down at Galveston a month or so ago.....I also jammed my midshaft back about 3/4 inch. I set my motor in and the couplers barely overlapped. :banghead:Luckily I have a spare parts ski, so I pulled the midshaft out of it. Then several other little problems also. But finally done, and she fired right up. Looks like I'll get to ride after all!!:headbang:
