okay guys just got home my 88 x-2 looks to be in pretty good shape. has to be primed a few times to start but not as bad as some ski's i've had.

i noticed there is trim on these i thought that was cool i never knew it. also there is a bolt sticking out of the side of the hanlebar cover see the teal arrow. What is it it moves with the handle bars.

Also it has some crazy plastic pink aftermarket throttle that will be coming off.
also does anyone spy anything aftermarket in the engine bay? i really dont think there is but figured i would ask you x2 guys and gals.

looks alot like the handle bar tilt leaver/pin . can you pull it out and tilt the handle bars forward and back. ok i just reread your frist post . that is the leaver that is sposed to lock the handle bars in one off 3 positions . you should be able to pull it out and move the bars to the next hold where it will click in and hold it in that position .

that was for the tilt steering. I would start looking for an Accusteer or UMI steering for it!!!!!!!!

also, you are missing a strap for the gas tank.

look for carb and manifold from a 93 or so X2, it came with a 38mm rather than the 28mm that you have on there now.


add a water bypass to the exhaust and a 15.5 skat prop and you will be in good shape!
