The adjustable motor mounting system is the only real PIA compaired to a reg SJ build. Motor alignment takes a bit longer. (buy plenty of shims.) Other then that is pretty strait forward and everything bolts right up for the most part.

Be sure to check the bolts for the mounting system to the hull. Buddy had his loosen up on him. Talk about a real pain in the ass to fix.

Very good point. When I pulled my motor to rebuild, many of the bolts were loose on the mouting system. Locktite.

I really really want a FS1... I rode Liquid-6's FS1 with a JM718 and a 9/15 hooker and it was the best handling hull i've ever been on ever. ever.

Wilkey looking forward to see this build !!!! hope this helps you, Per Yamaha sj service manual, M6 bolt 5.8 ft/lbs ------ M8 bolt 13 ft/lbs ------ M10 bolt 25 ft/lbs ------ M12 bolt 31 ft/lbs

X2 on loctite, one drop of red and your set, no need to use too much that one decent sized drop on a clean insert and bolt will work perfect yet still let go when you need it to. GOOD LUCK Keep us updated on the progress!
