I honestly have no idea. the pipe was on the ski when I bought it and it runs great, so I don't mess with it.

I ride at a place called Packery Channel in Corpus, it's on North Padre Island. It's nice because you don't have to launch from the sand every time since they cut the channel, but I still do occasionally. The ramps are under a mile from the surf and are never that busy. You can also drive on the beaches too. If your up for a LLLLLLOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG ride through a no wake zone you can ride in the Intra Coastal Waterway, which is fun from time to time. And if your up for a double dog dare you can ride to the first set of rigs about several miles off shore, straight out from the jetties... I've done it a time or 2, but never alone. It's fun to cruise the surf south from Packery to Bobhall pier. There is also a tiny air strip in Port Aransas, about 8 miles up the road, that serves 100LL and you can just drive right up to the pump as it is right by the entrance to the apron.

The surf is flat about half the time, but when a hurricane is in the south gulf, it gets pretty heavy and the weather will be nice in Corpus. www.bobhallpier.net has a web cam, but has been off line since Ike.

Alot of couches, I've only seen a handful of standups, but they pop from time to time. Quite a few surfers too, don't get tangled up with them because they will give you the whole "your ski is destroying the planet and makes the surf smell like gas" or the "you have to stay 1,000 ft offshore at all times and I just called the cops" speech, LMAO. When they start getting upset and yelling I just wave, smile and then go elsewhere, no point in getting all confrontational and ruining your riding day.

It's no wake with in 50ft of anything in Texas for PWC's, I used get lectured by TX Parks and Wildlife alot.

Oh yea, make sure to have a whistle on your lanyard too when in the coatal area, I've been hit by the puddle pirates for that too.

the lake ive gone to for years, makes u buy a 100 dollar yearly permit, and u can only ride mon, wed, friday, and saturday. its a joke gonna go to a differnt lake and ride when i can, and there real strict on that 50' rule

say WWWHHHAATTT??? That's pretty bad. I usually ride during the weekdays just to avoid everyone. I don't really care about the surfers and boaters, but I don't like disturbing the people fishing as I personally know how annoying boaters and pot lickers can be while your trying to fish.

"Pot lickers" are those pesky people that come up, park, and fish RIGHT next to you, even though there is like miles and miles of deserted beach all around. For instance you can be fishing halfway down the Padre Island National Seashore, which is 67 miles of deserted protected beach, if you have a 4x4 you have to hit it up once or twice, but then out of no where BOOM! some guy is like 100ft from you setting up to fish, lol.

It's like that old obscure saying "if your ever lost in the woods just break out a deck of cards and start playing solitare, because someone will come up and tap you on the shoulder to point out a move you missed." HA, if your ever in distress on the water, just break out a fishing pole, because someone will be there to fish in your spot minutes.
