MSD not Sparking

Hey guys.. took my new SJ out today.. and boy did it scream.. anyways.. it has a MSD total loss.. i was riding it fine for about 30 min.. and then it decided to run like it was bogged down.. like water ingested.. well it ended being (at least i hope this is the problem) one of the spark plugs was not getting a spark.. i swapped out plugs and everything.. i got nothing.. only one side tho.. can you guys give me some suggestions on what to look for before i tear it all out? thanks!!

Unplug the triggers and short each trigger input to the brain (separately) to see if you get good spark that way.
If you do, your trigger(s) is probably broken.
If you don't, try a different coil.
If that doesn't work, the brain is busted.

You need to understand what's in the manual before attempting to troubleshoot this expensive ignition.

what was the battery voltage?

did you try charging or adding another battery?

Matt_E will help you im sure, but since you sound like you are unsure how the MSD system works, I just wanted to make sure you know you have to charge the battery for it.

it should last longer than 30 minutes, but that depends on the type of battery, and how fully charged it was to begin with.

By the time the battery is down far enough to not fire the plugs reliably, you won't be able to crank.
