okay guys i got a new ski. it is kmac/saki's old ski. darktower put a total loss on it and most of the connections got corroded in the ocean. I think it may be in the start stop switch, It will turn over if you bridge the starter selinoid. i would unplug the start stop switch but they are spliced into the TL wiring. I was going to pull it and put my stock lightned setup on it but would like to ride it with the total loss once. can i just use a test light at the wires coming out of the switch? which one's need checked?

cut and redo the connections using the heat shrinking connections (crimp kind) (Butt connectors) or get the same kind that uses the male female connection.

you should have 4 prongs on the solenoid. the top big 2 are positive from battery and the starter wire. the 2 small ones on the bottom are what you need to test. one is ground and the other is what should light up as hot ,when you hit the start buuton.

I'd redo all the connections with the heat shrink connectors that have the glue inside. And make sure when you cut the old connectors out that you are getting very fresh wire. I'd say that if the connectors are visually corroded, it's probably gone up under the wire sheath at least a little bit too.
