Hi

Got a few Questions, maybe somebody can help me

If i got Hood vents, is it usefull to run dual Breather, or can i just get the steering cable and start/stop into engine bay through handlepole. Its easy to safe it against Water thorugh the Bracket.
Are 2 Kenny Keepers enough, or do i need 4 ?
The Gab between inner and outer hood... Is it usefull so close it with foam and Glue? Or better when open, cause Water can run away?
How short should i cut the Rideplate? Just same Dimension then stock. i mean, shorten it as much as hull. D-Cut or something else?

Did u make that trim nozzle? how's it ride? I would trim the ride plate up like an extended plate, keeping it long, see how u like it then go from there.

Depending on what size motor, you probably don't need dual breather tubes. I wonder if you could use the stock rubber piece around your cables to keep water out?
I have only ever seen people run 2 Kenny Keepers, shouldn't need 4.

Is the hood liner sealed or does that gap in the hood allow water to run out of the hood? If it lets water out I'd seal it so all the water in the liner is directed out of the tubes and down to the bottom of the hull so that water can't get into the carbs as easily.

I'd leave the ride plate long until you get used to the hull and then gradually cut it shorter until it's where you want it.

thats what i ment by what is it, more of an "i like it nice work" what is this, not a "where did you buy it". what did you use to mold the ring? what cable did you use? it looks like an oem ball connector thing? how much throw do you get? how do you have the cable ran in the pump cavity? you have taken a great approach to your build

Hello
I used an tube and lay some carbon around ist, so i got it like this. Then i cut it a bit. This is just version 1. Its a little bit to short, ill make it longer. Throw is something between 30-40 degree. But, its to short, so only half of the output is directed in another way. If its longer -> better routing.
The cable is from an old Mondeo throttle cable ;) Was just laying around. You can see the holder of the top. Its just sitting between pump and hull. You can adjust it in the lengh for about 1 inch. The cable goes is on the top of the pump. You can see this some pages before under the tray. I just put it together, to see if all wholes are open, and nothing is wrong before paint. Its not finished yet, but ill try it.

Iam not sure about the hood. The Tubes are about 2 in higher then the inner hood. So if Water got under the hood, it wont go into the tubes, before its not 2 inches high. So if i sub, Water just go under the Hood, and drain out of the gab. The bad thing is, that the Water can go under the hood from everywhere, and not just in the back. I think ill seal it around and let some small wholes, so water can drain, but wont go to fast in.

Its hard to tell with my english. In German its alot easier

Thats what i thought about, the original rubber piece. Should me enough for my engine. I can could the wholes every time i want, but if theres no use for them, i dont open them.

The tubes should probably be flush with the liner, not sticking up a couple inches. Those tubes are there to direct the water in the liner to the bottom of the hull so the bilge can drain it and to prevent water ingestion in the carbs.
