How much dose the stock 61x air box restrict air flow vs a aftermarket one??? The reason im asking is that i plan on running dual oem 46s with two oem 61x airbox...Thanks

Non restrictive at all if you remove all of the screens save one ( to keep small farm animals and children out) and of course change your pop off settings accordingly.
The OEM setup is the most widely used and most effective at keeping water out of the vacuum cleaners...

OEM setup is best on preventing water from entering.

It actually has a huge opening (air intake) compared to the Kawi's.

The 46's will need quite a bit of modification to fit however.

The airboxs will need modifcation or the carbs? i know that the base plate on the airbox will need to be opened up to match the 46mm carb, but is there something else?

you probably want to get the adapter/riser plates that enable you to turn them so the intake is over the cylinder.x-metal or thrust innovations both make these .don't think theres any modifications needed to the stock a/f housing.
