You guys have all shown just how great of a community this is. This is a rider out there bringing new people into the sport and ends up on the wrong side of a mistake by a new rider.
For those of us who have been banged up and in the hospital, know first off its no fun and then second its not cheap.

For something like what has happened to Brian here with ambulance and hospital and recovery will be over $300,000 easy. and insurance does cover most but there will still be out of pock near $30K easy. So for us to be able to put a dent in that out of pocket for this new Dad is a great thing in my book and we should all sleep better each night knowing we helped out a fellow rider.

Congrats on the "minnie me". You may already know this, but I'm going to say it anyway! Everything you did up until now doesn't matter, it's what you do from here on that counts! Trust me, I have two kids!

This is the first I've heard of your injury, and of your new life. Knowing very little of Brian and the few times we've met, I'm certain this is a minor bump in the road for someone with his personality. Hell even in ICU he's still a better rider than most of us... Get better Hood, summer ain't over buddy.

I too had broken ribs ,punctured lung ,and chipped vertebrae all at the same time so I kind of know how it feels here is a little $ to help you along the way to recovery . get well ,I know it hurts BAD, especially when you breathe or even move . and try not to sneeze ,thats a killer !
