Pole Bolt Setup

Alright I have a question. If I run a dual bolt setup would I be able to run a spring? Ive seen peoples setups with dual bolts and they dont have springs. Im deciding if I want to get a rn pole bracket and just drill new holes and reinforce the top+bottom of the bolt bracket area (have to do that anyways) or just shim the square pole bracket. Both seem fairly easy I dont know which route to go.
Also are there any advantages to a dual bolt setup as opposed to a single bolt setup?

As I understand it, the dual bolt setup is so you can crank down on both bolts so that the pole is stiffer and you don't need a spring. If you have a single bolt and torque it down, the torque will bend the pole mount and stock mounts will break. I've ridden a few ski's with the stiff poles and although I hate it right now, I can see it's purpose when you try to roll or do a nose stab.

still poles are horrible for surf riding, and running no spring, i cant think of a way to burn more energy!
i would try to stick with the sn bracket. dont forget about your hood hooks
