question about boysen intake manifold

I just ordered another 44 mm mukuni. I was looking at my boyesen manifold and some pictures her on the site and it looks like everyone has two pulse fittings. Do I need to do this or could I tap into my single pulse fitting.

If you're using dual carbs with separate fuel pumps its best to keep the signal isolated.

Drill the case and install another oem fitting part number 62T-14251-10-00

to get signal to each carb from each side of the intake. there is not a crossover on most aftermarket intakes so it is best to get signal(pulse) from each side to each carb. there is a spot in the cases already for this, kit is just not drilled yet.

I agree with having two pulse lines but all 62T cases do not have a boss for another pulse. the earlier ones didnt have a spot making it nearly impossible to drill with the cylinder attached. I just drilled two new pulse fittings on each of the reed mount plates on the cases. its a small area to drill but it worked.

yes my boat runs fine with only 1 pulse line. but that is with unmoded 44's. i do run 2 pulse lines with novi's or buckshots. 1 fuel pump is more then enough for a set of 44's on a limited boat.

Thanks for all of the replies. I found a thread on here about dual pulse fittings and Watcon sells a kit to do this.

Also does anyone know the part number for the longer superjet throttle cable?

Using separate pulse lines for each fuel pump improves the pulse signal clarity and will make the carbs easier to tune.

Also filling the intake manifold crossover helps too.

Thats exactly the answer I was looking for. I also heard it make them more responsive that using one pulse fitting
