Hey all..noticed this checking out the apba updated race schedule. They added a race at Walled Lake(Detroit area) for May 31st - June 1st. Checked Pat's site and seen a blurb about that and Oscado. Not sure if anyone noticed this. Oscado race and the rest of the sites still are the same dates.

cheers,

hey Timmer, Novice Ski Limited had on average about 6 per round. Are you new to racing this year? Thought I seen that from a post a few months ago. Need any help or questions, you can hit me up. Been in the water 3 times already, so I am tuned and ready to go, so i'm usually available with any help

If anyone could let me know about the race on walled lake I would be greatful. I have wanted to get into racing for a year so this sounds like a good chance. Is there a stock class I have a GPR I know its not the fastest but at least I would be able to run. please contact me with any info. I also just got into stand ups (a 550) but im nowhere near ready to race with that.

How do you get in is there a web site for to race. What are the classes for the races. Do you need a helmet. And also I dont think that there is a public launch on walled lake how is that going to work

Welcome two newby's then to Region 6...Yep..first thing is all about having fun.

kevin2965 What I would do first of all is check out Reg. 6 Promoter site. http://www.pwcfun.com/index.asp
http://www.apbaracing.com/

It has everything you need to know about getting into racing. Easist thing to do is bring your boat, ride gear, helmet and cash for the weekend. You'll get help on registering in the morning. Pus, more detailed pre race info for beginner's in the morning. Basically they'll take care of ya. Don't worry about the course..you'll miss bouys..eveyone does. If you want too, come out friday night and chat us up. We're usually up pretty late arriving and having some beers racers. Walled Lake is a brand new race site to us as well.

Timmer..that's cool that you went to the races last year. Didn't remember seeing that ski out there. Did you happen to bump into us...or party with us. You see how we roll...nothing but good times. So, your ready to rip it up then, awesome.

Note. A lot more info from the racer community are over pwctoday.com in their racing forum. I"ll hang on this thread to pass out info I get.

cheers, scoot

We are a sharing tribe amoung us racers. If you need a beach tote, a hold for your race, anything...everyone is willing to lend a hand. Search out the EH Team compound if you need anything. I raced Am. Ski Open last year at all the rounds. You probably didn't see a lot of my boat last summer because of many setbacks...mainly mechanical. Planned on racing expert for a while now, but factors are keeping me back..namly the bump up in class cost..$20 difference per race. The hot ski classes in our region are Beginner, Novice Stock and Limited, Am. Open, Pro Stock and Open

haha..yah..tucky's right. A lot of steering problems with the nut keep coming loose. hey tuck..I just figured out what was wrong with my pump...nothing...the ride plate was actually bent up in the back...probaby hit a rock or a couple. That was causing the nose to ride up a lot. I noticed it a little last year. Mostly when I was full throttle. Just got in from banging, bending and shimming it. I"ll test again on tomorrow or Wednesday.
