I'd say raw aluminium. Here are a few more pics of my old pipe. It's a (supposedly) special type 4, larger volume chamber made by FP. I used a Riva manifold. That pipe made great power, actually the only problem with is was the light switch power distribution when it kicked in.

Thanks for posting Sospikey!

That one looks like it has a raw alum finish or is that the silver powder coat? Looks like raw aluminum. Is there any difference between that one and the dark blue metallic one that I have? They sure do look the same...

The Silver on the Add, is not, is not the same as the Blue Type 4 that came from fpp

Honestly, this pipe is the easiest thing to run... It makes great power doesn't need water injection and u just bolt it on with the lord mounts and let it be where the mounts put it. No shimming and all that crazy nonsense. My friend in fact only runs the head lord mounts on his. The tab for the flywheel cover lord mount broke off the chamber. And it works fine. I literally even rode my ski without the head lord mounts which do most of the stabalization of this exhaust system. And it took a week to burn out a coupler riding without that mount and only the flywheel cover mount... This pipe is awesome! Trouble free

My friend rides class 4 big white water river rapids with me...we ride hard and lots of big air Don't need the flywheel cover lord mounts bro. But of course it's preferable to have it attached there since its made that way

If you are lucky and the tabs line up then no problems. If you have to push over the mounts to line up you are putting strain on the coupler which will cause it to separate the connection causing first the o-ring to burn out then the coupler.

Mine didn't line up. I pushed the lord mounts hard and the chamber until the holes lined up.. What else can ya do? No way around that. And my coupler doesn't blow out.. Rebuilt my top end after last season and my o ring was melted to nothing but coupler didn't burn out.. So whatever lol if the I ring wants to burn up then oh well I guess

Mine are too far off for slotting lol i would run out of tab... Could slot it as far as possible to relieve some pressure though :) thanks

If you check my pics above I ran out of tab. I made a new, larger tab that I attached to the old one. Worked great!

My home away from home.
My son ran one on his 650 sn and it was a HUGE improvement over stock. Definitely required some rejetting, but ran very good. Mounted up solid and lined up fine. If the pics are accurate it's the Riva Freeride pipe. It served him very well for flatwater freestyle stuff, and it got BEAT on as far as landings are concerned. But all mounts and cyl held up just fine.. It's going to be in the for sale section very shortly.
