Should I get a set back pump or is it negligible?

#1 goal, ride as much as I can when the season starts (I’m in New England.) I am new to the sport and I’m shopping for my first Superjet 96-07. I’ll be primarily on flat water. I will take the ski out occasionally in CT for surf riding. I want to eventually learn freestyle tricks. I’m a big guy 6’5.What are your goals with your ski? How do you ride? What's the rest of your setup?
Doesn't sound like you're going to be getting into multiple trick freestyle if your goal is an aquabot. I learned combos with an oem 155, non setback. If you plan on getting a big PV motor then I'd go all out and get a setback. But if you're under 800cc, a Solas 144 is the best bang for your buck. Plus finding props that work for sub800cc are hard to come by. Not sure if someone else is picking up where skat left off.#1 goal, ride as much as I can when the season starts (I’m in New England.) I’m going to purchase a running ski in the coming months but I also started the procurement process for a AM build. For the AM build I am currently thinking buying an Aquabot new from tigercraft.
Recently in person someone told me you need a set back mag pump, it’s apparently a bench mark for riding stand ups
Thanks for the input! For flat water is 155 going to be the best bet?Doesn't sound like you're going to be getting into multiple trick freestyle if your goal is an aquabot. 155 best for flatwater most definitely. What kind of motor are you looking into? I know some pros have flipped a bot with a 701 but I've never seen videos or heard of one doing multiple flips and spins. Maybe I'm completely wrong but I was under the impression that the m1 is more of a hybrid hull. Thanks for the input! For flat water is 155 going to be the best bet?
I was lead to believe the aquabot was a good hybrid hull by a few folks, specifically I was told they can flat water flip as well as surf ride
