i think an old f-250 would be a good donor truck. the f-150's had that stupid sideways swingarm frontend on them. a solid axle truck with a good transfer case and tail housing that will bolt up to your transmission. then buy their kit and other miscellaneous parts.
EDIT: remembered, its called a "wishbone" front end on the older 150's
Those are good trucks, generally a 351, 460 or even the everlasting 7.3 turbo diesel. That is a VERY good donor truck for your van. Trans and transfer case may work, along with the axle, brakes and hubs. I've been looking for a 4 door long bed dually k30 Chevrolet to drop my cummins in. They're harder to find than one would think.
