Super Jet SJ650 Snaps Woodruff key...wtf

Hey fellow water folk looking for some insight. I bought a 91 sperjet 650 back in may it had electrical problems to start. I replaced everything coil, cdi, stator it stats and runs mint, for an hour! Different problem now, broke the woodruff key. Replaced it twice in 2 days making sure it was clean and eveything seating properly and torqued to 65 lbs on the flywheel. It broke again yesterday! Ski has engine work and produces 200 lbs in each cylinder. Could this be the culprit? If so solution? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Yall

I was thinking the timing might be off b.c the stator was replaced but it runs for a while before it sheers the key... the mating surface on the flywheel to the crank maybe bad and causing the flywheel to loosen up and sheer it.
